Morayvia is a charity based in Kinloss, Moray and contacted Garioch Media looking for a digital signage solution. No strangers to digital signage, they knew what they wanted. However, being a charity organisation, with limited funds, the full system was not something they could afford.
To help, Garioch Media implemented a cloud-based solution. This consisted of the large screen in reception greeting visitors connecting to Garioch Media’s content server. Morayvia’s Digital Media Manager can access this server to update content. Current content is a showcase of media coverage, along with promotional messages about events, shop offers, and general news related to the work they do. Included is a rotating image gallery displaying the logos of the organisations that support them. A news “ticker” showing the latest local news headlines. All of this can be scheduled to run at different times, or in a continuous loop.
Morayvia Chairman Mark Mair commented, “the implementation has really worked well for us. We see a number of our visitors taking the time to stop and watch the content. Visitor numbers at over 6500 in 2017, the signage has been viewed by a lot of people.”
Expansion
Next is the expansion of the number of screens at the centre. The next implementation for them and their visitors is the addition of a screen for their planetarium shows, advertising content and times.
